Toofers have arrived!

You can almost see my toofers in this picture!
We noticed two a day ago, look closely on the bottom.
These suckers broke through and we are SO happy now.

Did we mention we also tested positive for RSV.
It's been a week but now we seem to be ready to rock and roll!

Still sick ...

Is it spring yet?  Can I just have a week of no cough, cold, flu symptoms?

This week about did me in.  As you all know Ben and Lizzy have been fighting a cold for just about a week.  Well guess who got it, combined with the stomach flu this week.  Me.  Just about did me in due to the fever, flu and congestion.  After a wicked temperature and not leaving a spot on the couch for a good long while I opted to not travel to Atlanta and Denver.  Luckily I have a boss who was a) traveling on the same trip and b) understanding as all get out.

I'm back to feeling pretty normal but pheww it sure takes it out of you.  Ben was at least feeling a bit better and could help take care of the little princess since I wasn't exactly up to speed.  Oh and I suppose what goes around comes around as I was a solo parent the entire week he was sick.  Not sure how single mom's or dad's do it.  Every day I'm so glad there are two of us.  Two of us to tag team the late night feedings, to tag team bath time, to tag team getting ready in the morning ... you name it, I'm simply glad that I have Ben and we are a solid team.

Some days better than others but together anything is possible.  Sappy ... yes.  True ... definitely!

Poop

Those of you who I talk to frequently know that Elizabeth is quite good at the subject line.  By that I mean I literally do laundry or soak clothes on an almost daily basis.  We are forceful with the number two.  I know she will hate me for this but I could not resist.  Trust me people I have tried to increase the diaper size, change the diaper brand and put the diaper on a bit tighter.  Nothing prevents the blowouts.  It's almost like it has become a game to her.  See below.  Ahhh my water bill.

Sick ... Sick ... Sick

happiest sick baby ever!
Lizzy and daddy came down with quite the nasty cold and cough this weekend.  Yuck.  I spent the weekend doing laundry, dishes, vacuuming, beginning to pack up Christmas decorations, working, downloading pictures ... you name it, I probably did it.  In addition to taking care of two sick babies.  Does that make me a supermom?  Or just a mom?  Haha.

Happy New Year!

Well it is here ... and boy did it come in fast!  We rang in 2011 up in Whistler for the third year in a row.  A bit different the last three years.  In 2009 we had fun, drank a bit too much and we were in bed by 9pm!  In 2010 we were about 16 weeks pregnant so we had dinner, Ben had a few drinks and we were in bed by 9pm!  For 2011 we went to dinner, had a few drinks and we were in bed by 9:30pm!  We've decided we love celebrating the new year by ringing it in with NYC.  Works perfectly, allows us to get plenty of sleep and beat the dinner crowds in Whistler.

One exception this year was that this was the first time we both had been away from Elizabeth together.  That's right folks, Elizabeth spent four days and three nights with Grandma & Grandpa Muldary.  Needless to say by the third night I was ready to drive all the way home to hug her even if it meant getting in at 3am.  But I restrained myself.  However I was up around 7:30am and out the door on our way back by 8:30am.  She did great, we all did great, just hard to be away from her when it isn't mandatory for work.

Snow was amazing and as you can tell it was sun, sun and more sun!  Excellent snow as they had gotten over 90cm the seven days prior.  Fabulous!  However it was cold, damn cold.  We bundled up and skied both Whistler and Blackcomb ... fun, fun, fun.
